Seems like there are a lot of more ads for cruises than there were about 10+
years ago. Every ad break there will be a cruise ad. Why is that? Is it
all the baby boomers retiring?

The minds of the humidicrib and millennium generations have been
softened by years of colored TV ads. The cruise ads don't emphasis
the cost of the booze on these boats and similar incidentals. My
sister is back from a cruise down the Rhine on one of these show
boats, and all were bored stupid by the monotonous scenery and the
other passengers who were all geriatric. And no, unlike the ads the
sun does NOT shine all the time. In the good old days a boat cruise
on a rusty tub would guarantee endless booze & wanton free sex for the
whole trip!
